Mental Health Services and Occupational Therapy for Children, Adolescents, Families, Couples, and Adults

Therapeutic Approach
As a therapist, my goal is to evoke excitement and a shift in perspective when approaching change. When working with children, I give parents the knowledge to be active supporters of their child’s journey, while simultaneously giving children the autonomy and confidence to lead the life they desire. My approach to therapy is one of collaboration between myself, the client, and families. When working with couples, I create a safe environment where both individuals feel understood and encouraged to take on challenges together as an equal partnership rather than adversaries.
I am passionate about delivering evidence-based interventions that create lasting change for my clients. Every person’s needs and experiences range; therefore, I use a Person Centered approach as a blueprint for therapeutic interventions. Through this approach, I form a therapeutic bond with each individual and utilize an eclectic mix of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and the Gottman Method when working with couples to best meet their unique needs in light of any possible trauma history or contextual considerations. Using evidence-based treatment and proven strategies to inform the therapy process, while taking a person’s context and potential trauma history into account, is crucial and leads to successful therapeutic outcomes.
I strive to create a safe, validating, and normalizing experience in an effort to allow clients to explore personal concerns and feel the healing impact of therapy. Clients have the opportunity to experience a healthy therapeutic relationship, which allows them to engage in self-actualization and have motivation for change. My areas of expertise are treating anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, parent management, and couples counseling. Oftentimes, clients have co-occurring diagnoses making it important to consistently reevaluate the needs and goals of treatment.
Taking that first step towards seeking help and support can be difficult. Find comfort in a safe, non-judgmental space to explore new ways of managing life's challenges - for yourself or your family. Receive the love you deserve accompanied by knowledge, relief and empowerment resulting from our therapeutic services aimed at providing each individual with meaningful growth opportunities.
